Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity to inspire high school students as a Language Arts teacher in a vibrant educational setting. This contract position is ideal for educators who are passionate about English Language Arts and eager to foster a love of literature and writing in their students. With just one building to manage and a defined schedule, you'll have the structure and resources to focus fully on your students' academic and personal growth.
Position Details:
Contract duration: August 17th through May 28th Hours per week: 35, Monday through Friday Daily schedule: 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM Serve high school learners in a supportive, single-building environment
Qualifications:
Relevant teaching certification in General Education with a strong focus on English Language Arts Previous experience teaching ELA at the high school level is highly valued Strong classroom management and organizational skills Ability to design engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards Excellent communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents
Responsibilities:
Deliver dynamic ELA instruction to high school students, adapting methods to meet diverse learning needs Create and implement lesson plans that develop reading, writing, and critical thinking skills Assess and report on student progress using meaningful strategies Provide constructive feedback and individualized support to help each student achieve academic success Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance curriculum and share best practices Engage in school events and contribute positively to the school culture This position offers a fulfilling role where your dedication and expertise can make a real difference in the academic journey of high school students.
