Job Description Responsible for supporting the management of Systemwide and Campus planning in the Emergency Preparedness program. Create and align training and exercise program requirements set forth by regulatory agencies as well as local, state, and federal/national agencies. Provide support for reporting obligations at various levels of government and representing Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at emergency management functions as necessary. Experience A minimum of two (2) years of experience in emergency management planning Completion of ICS-300 and G-191current courses Completion of
FEMA IS-700, FEMA IS-200, FEMA
IS-700 and
FEMA IS-800
current courses Preferred Qualifications Completion of the IS-235 Emergency Planning and G-235 Emergency Planning courses strongly preferred Completion of
FEMA ICS-400
course preferred Education Bachelor's degree in an applicable field or equivalent experience in related field Certification Summary Current and valid Georgia State driver's license and ability to pass the Children's Driver Training requirements for operations of a motor-vehicle Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated knowledge of CMS/TJC, DNV, CPG-101, NFPA and Emergency Management principles Advanced oral and written communication skills, to include facilitation and presentation skills Proficient at a high level in Microsoft Office products Demonstrated leadership skills in facilitating and leading cross-functional teams Strong interpersonal skills Effective problem solving and decision-making abilities, with a creative approach Demonstrated ability to address and creatively manage conflict Ability to work collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to manage timelines Personal organization and time management skills Personal adaptability Listening skills Demonstrated ability to keep teams focused on achieving desired results and not just completing tasks Demonstrated ability to focus on relationships within teams to ensure results are achieved Job Responsibilities Serves as the primary planner for the Emergency Preparedness program for the healthcare system. Coordinates across the system for the review of emergency preparedness plans at the department, campus, system, and external levels. Responds to emergency incidents on a situational basis and serves as a resource within the incident command structure. Serves as support for the development of the Children's Training & Exercise program including the annual Full Scale Systemwide Exercise program. Supports Emergency Preparedness Training Coordinator in the development of After-Action Reports following planned and unplanned events. Coordinates the annual review and updates for all Emergency Preparedness plans and meetings. Collaborates with the Safety Department regarding the documentation, planning and training related to hazardous materials. Provide backup meeting representation at local, state, and national emergency management meetings and events. Act in the role of Planning Section Chief for Emergency Operations Center activations.
