EMT & ALS Providers Needed for Private Ambulance Service

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our ground transport team dispatching out of the MatSu Valley area. The EMT will provide high-quality medical care to patients with various levels of acuity while providing interfacility transports. The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment skills, a thorough understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to perform care within the scope of their licensure. This role requires quick thinking, effective communication, and a commitment to patient safety. Duties Respond to calls for service immediately and without delay Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of care needed. Administer basic life support measures, including CPR, oxygen therapy, and wound care. Transport patients safely while providing continuous care during transit. Show compassion and professionalism at all times with all customer and patient care contacts Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in hospitals and health care settings for effective patient management. Maintain accurate documentation of patient information and treatment provided. Ensure all medical equipment is properly maintained and ready for use. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with best practices in emergency medical care. Requirements Valid EMT certification from an accredited program and current licensure in the State of Alaska. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to patient care. Proficiency in performing vital signs checks, patient assessments, triage, and using durable medical equipment (DME). Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations . Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, and holidays as needed. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record and have passed or the ability to pass an EVOC course to drive the ambulance Must be 24.5 years old (this is an insurance requirement for operating the ambulance) Join our team of dedicated professionals committed to providing exceptional emergency medical services.
