Operations Field Supervisor - Residential Energy Efficiency Programs JBM Contracting | Asheville, NC (Greater Buncombe County) About JBM Contracting JBM Contracting specializes in residential energy efficiency upgrades across North Carolina — including heat pump installations, heat pump water heaters, insulation, air/duct sealing, and electrical upgrades. We help homeowners qualify for rebates through DOE and State incentive programs, including the NC HOMES and HEARS programs, so they can experience greater comfort and lower utility bills. The Role JBM Contracting is hiring a Field Supervisor to oversee residential installation and upgrade projects in the Greater Buncombe County, NC area as part of the NC Energy Savers program . Reporting directly to the Regional Operations Director , you'll be the point person ensuring every project moves smoothly from scheduling through completion — keeping timelines on track, subcontractors coordinated, and customers informed every step of the way. This is a hands-on, field-facing role for someone who thrives on organization, clear communication, and getting quality results across multiple job sites at once. What You'll Do Manage day-to-day timelines and scheduling for residential energy efficiency projects (heat pump installs, insulation, duct sealing, electrical upgrades) under the NC Energy Savers program Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors — HVAC, plumbing, and electrical — to ensure work is scheduled, sequenced, and completed on time Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout their project, setting expectations and providing updates Conduct site visits and quality checks to confirm installations and upgrades meet program standards and company quality expectations Re-order and manage inventory of materials and equipment from company vendors for standardized installations Perform basic insulation/ air sealing tasks as needed Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, or scope issues before they impact the customer experience Track project status, documentation, and program compliance requirements tied to DOE/State incentive programs (HOMES, HEARS) Report project status, risks, and completion metrics to the Regional Operations Director Support smooth handoffs between sales/enrollment, field crews, and subcontractors What We're Looking For Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple active projects and subcontractor schedules simultaneously Excellent communication skills — comfortable coordinating with tradespeople and speaking directly with homeowners A quality-first mindset and attention to detail on jobsite walkthroughs Thorough understanding of residential construction trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and typical installation timelines/ code standards Comfortable using project management and scheduling tools (e.g., Contractor Foreman or similar) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites across Western NC Performance bonuses Opportunity to grow with a company on the front lines of the residential energy efficiency and heat pump industry in North Carolina Location Based in and around Greater Buncombe County, NC (Asheville area), with regular travel to active job sites.
