Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Electrical CAD Designer to develop detailed electrical designs, schematics, models, and manufacturing documentation supporting a major scientific and engineering project. The role will support engineering, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation activities. Key Responsibilities Create electrical CAD models, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. Develop manufacturing-ready electrical documentation. Prepare Bills of Materials, wire lists, and cable schedules . Revise designs based on engineering feedback and approved changes. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers and project managers. Maintain revision-controlled engineering documentation. Support design reviews and engineering coordination. Prepare documentation for fabrication, assembly, testing, and installation. Required Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or relatedfield, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of professional electrical CAD design experience. Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Inventor, KiCad, or equivalent . Experience creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and cable schedules. Experience with PLM/PDM systems and revision-controlled engineering documentation. Working knowledge of electrical components, schematic development, wiring practices, andapplicable standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience with DOE national laboratories, research facilities, particle accelerators, or complexindustrial projects. 3D electrical/electromechanical design experience using Autodesk Inventor. Experience integrating electrical and mechanical CAD models. Windchill experience. Experience supporting fabrication, assembly, installation, or commissioning.
