Job Description
We're partnering with a leading home-furnishings retailer seeking a highly detail-oriented Tabletop Product Designer at the Assistant, Associate, or Product Designer level. This role will focus heavily on creating accurate technical drawings, product specifications, tech packs, and color direction for dinnerware, glassware, barware, serveware, and tabletop décor. Candidates must submit a portfolio featuring detailed technical product drawings. Portfolios should demonstrate the ability to communicate product construction, dimensions, materials, finishes, color placement, and factory specifications. What You'll Do Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for tabletop products Translate seasonal concepts and inspiration into accurate, factory-ready product designs Develop tech packs that clearly communicate dimensions, construction, materials, finishes, and design details Select Pantone colors and provide clear color-placement and application direction Design products across ceramic, glass, metal, and wood categories Research interiors, home furnishings, color, retail, and industry trends Develop concepts that align with the creative vision and direction of each season Provide clear technical and design direction to vendors and manufacturing partners Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy, organization, and calendar deadlines Qualifications Product design experience within tabletop, home décor, housewares, or a related retail category Strong knowledge of product construction, technical design, and mass manufacturing Ability to create precise technical drawings by hand or using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Experience developing detailed product specifications and tech packs for factories Knowledge of ceramic, glass, metal, and wood materials and manufacturing processes Experience selecting Pantone colors and directing color placement Aspirational taste level with a passion for interiors, home furnishings, color, and design trends Full proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, within a Mac environment Excellent hand-drawing, communication, time-management, and organizational skills Highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing project needs A portfolio featuring relevant technical product drawings and specifications is require Please submit your resume for consideration!
