We provide commercial and residential cabinetry, countertops, custom millwork, closets, and related products. We are looking for an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Cabinet and Millwork Drafter to prepare accurate shop drawings and production drawings for our projects. Position Overview The ideal candidate will be able to review architectural plans, specifications, field measurements, and project requirements and turn them into clear, accurate drawings for customer approval, project coordination, fabrication, and installation. This position will work closely with our project managers, sales team, field personnel, production team, installers, contractors, architects, and designers. Responsibilities Review architectural plans, specifications, elevations, schedules, and project scopes Prepare detailed shop drawings for cabinetry, countertops, reception desks, closets, casework, and custom commercial millwork Create floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and installation drawings Convert field measurements into accurate drawings Confirm dimensions, clearances, materials, finishes, hardware, and construction details Identify missing information, conflicts, and potential installation issues before production Prepare drawings for contractor, architect, designer, and customer approval Revise drawings based on redlines, field conditions, selections, and approved changes Maintain organized drawing files and revision records Coordinate drawings with plumbing, electrical, appliances, walls, flooring, and other jobsite conditions Communicate questions and discrepancies to project managers before drawings are released Produce accurate drawings that can be clearly understood by our production and installation teams Assist with material takeoffs, cut lists, and production information when needed Help ensure projects are released for production on schedule Qualifications Previous drafting experience in cabinetry, architectural millwork, casework, countertops, construction, or a related field Ability to read and understand architectural and construction plans Strong knowledge of cabinet construction and installation methods Experience with AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, 2020 Design, or similar drafting/design software Strong understanding of dimensions, scale, elevations, sections, and construction details Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Ability to communicate clearly with project managers, field personnel, production employees, and customers Comfortable asking questions and resolving conflicts before drawings are released Reliable, punctual, and committed to producing accurate work High school diploma or equivalent required Drafting, design, engineering, or construction-related education is preferred Preferred Experience Commercial casework and architectural millwork Residential kitchen and bathroom cabinetry Laminate and solid-surface countertops ADA requirements and commercial construction standards AWI standards and commercial project specifications Preparing submittals for general contractors and architects Creating production-ready drawings and material takeoffs What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and understands that accurate drawings are essential to a successful project.
