CAD Designer - Job Description With limited supervision, develop 2D/ 3D models and drawings based on job specific information as provided by outside customers and design criteria as set by the Engineering Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create models/drawings or revise existing models/drawings per field and building code specifications using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD. Create manufacturing drawings that are clear, detailed, concise Check other drafters' work using guidelines set by the Engineering Department and information supplied by the customer. Communicate and accurately modify technical drawings based on customer request Coordinate with team to understand project requirements, verify design details and recommend modifications as needed according to company standards and best practices. Ability to work independently, displaying professionalism and dependability, have good communication skills. Follow up with customers to ensure project specifications are met in a timely manner. Maintain accurate documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
Associate degree in CAD and or experience in a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience
Necessary Skills:
Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software (Creo/ProE, SolidWorks, etc.) Proficient in 2D AutoCAD Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) Able to navigate construction sites safely Currently live within the greater Ft. Myers area. Relocation is not included.
Desired Skills:
