Full Job Description Lead CAD Technician Location:

Work Setup & Travel :
Onsite 5 days a week As a Lead CAD Technician , you will apply CAD knowledge and expertise to produce detailed drawings with limited guidance from others. You will communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with team members and stakeholders. You will lead and manage the preparation of comprehensive drawing packages and project details, and review and coordinate work completed by project teams and junior drafters. You will maintain drafting standards and manage CAD workflows for optimal productivity, while also mentoring less experienced team members. Why Join Us? Minimum requirements:
A.S. or B.S. degree from an accredited institution in drafting or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 10-15 years of CAD design/drafting experience and still very hands-on technically.
Primary Software:
AutoCAD Civil 3D (required)
Secondary Software:
AutoCAD Map 3D, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, Google Earth, and Excel (preferred) The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently and handling more complex CAD work rather than primarily focusing on people management. Experience with GIS, spatial data, coordinate systems, and projections Basic experience with VBA, coding, or scripting to help automate repetitive CAD processes Experience within utility, infrastructure, civil, or trenchless/HDD construction/engineering Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Pay:
$74,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
