CAD Designer- Join Our Collaborative Team at H&S Industrial At H&S Industrial, we're more than just a metal shop - we're a tight-knit team of skilled professionals building top-quality solutions in sheet metal and miscellaneous metals. We're currently looking for a CAD Designer who's not only technically sharp but also thrives in a collaborative, hands-on Metal Fabrication environment.
What You'll Do:
As a key part of our design and fabrication team, you'll turn ideas into precision shop drawings, working closely with fellow designers, welders, and fabricators to bring custom metal projects to life. You'll help us stay on schedule, support company growth, and make a real impact with every project.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed CAD drawings and machine programs for fabrication, focusing on sheet metal and miscellaneous metal components. Collaborate daily with shop floor personnel, project managers, and fellow designers to solve problems and fine-tune designs. Interpret project specifications, sketches, and field data to design accurate and buildable parts. Adjust and improve designs to increase fabrication efficiency and reduce production issues. Participate in field measurements and customer consultations to capture the right requirements from the start. Maintain clear, organized drawings with instructions, part numbers, and specifications. Provide feedback and ideas to continuously improve our design processes. Ensure work meets our quality standards and production timelines. Support our team-oriented culture by jumping in to help where needed. What You Bring to the
Table:
3-5 years of CAD or machine programming experience, ideally in a metal fabrication or welding environment. Solid understanding of sheet metal design and fabrication practices. Familiarity with welding processes and how they impact design decisions. A team-first attitude and strong communication skills.
