Driver/Dock Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods between facilities and suppliers. Responsible for transporting goods and materials between Harrinton facilities and various destinations.GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Transport goods and materials between Harrington facilities and to various destinations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Perform routine maintenance on the company vehicle and maintain an organized and clean interior. Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper securing and handling of items to prevent damage during transit. Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and minimize fuel consumption and delivery time. Maintain effective communication with supervisors, reporting any delays, issues, or incidents promptly. Follow all safety protocols and procedures and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Two-year clean driving record. Strong commitment to safety. Excellent knowledge of local traffic patterns and routes. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Willingness to work flexible hours as required. Previous experience as a driver or delivery driver is a plus. Must be able to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment. UPS/FedEx software experience desired.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds and frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Move packages, as needed. Ability to stand 5+ hours a day. Ability to walk 5+ hours a day. Ability to sit 3+ hours a day.OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Conduct all interaction with customers, representatives, co-workers, and supervisors in a focused, positive, courteous, and respectful manner. Regular attendance is an essential element of the job.
