Strict Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card) required; 3+ years of professional 2D AutoCAD mechanical design experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Bridging the gap between engineering theory and shop floor execution, you will take full ownership of custom submittal packages and detailed BOMs while working directly alongside the skilled fabricators building your designs. What You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities) 2

D Submittal Drawings:

Create detailed 2D mechanical submittal drawings for complex industrial fluid-handling and heat-transfer systems using AutoCAD.

Develop Complete BOMs:

Build comprehensive Bills of Materials and sales order job packets to guide shop floor assembly from design approval through final production.

Shop Floor Collaboration:

Walk the manufacturing grid to view assigned projects in active build, collaborating directly with fabricators and updating post-shipment "as-built" drawings.

Client Consultation:

Act as a technical point of contact during the submittal process, addressing client engineering inquiries to secure fast "approved for production" sign-offs.

Maintain Drafting Standards:

Utilize custom internal AutoCAD commands and standards to maintain consistent design quality and support peers on drafting questions. What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications) 2

D AutoCAD Expertise:

3+ years of professional 2D AutoCAD mechanical design experience in an industrial manufacturing, machinery, or structural fabrication shop.

Mechanical & Shop Aptitude:

Clear understanding of how 2D assembly prints and schematics translate into raw fabrication and physical assembly.

Educational Background:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Technology, Industrial Design, or a related discipline strongly preferred.

Communication Skills:

Professional written and verbal skills to communicate effectively with plant supervisors, project leads, and external clients.

Location & Authorization:

U.S. Citizenship or Green Card holder residing within a comfortable 45-minute daily driving radius of Richfield, WI. Preferred Technical Assets (Bonus Skills)

Industrial Systems Exposure:

Background working with industrial piping, fluid handling, heat transfer, or HVAC equipment builds.

BOM & ERP

Software:

Practical experience working with industrial ERP systems for inventory and BOM management.

Custom AutoCAD Tools:
