McMillan Electric Company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and design, with proficiency in various CAD software and a solid understanding of industry standards. This role involves creating product drawings, writing specifications, and general drafting using Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools. They will interface with customers, vendors, and all levels of the organization regarding drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities Create models and implement design improvements, design concepts and layouts. Resolve product and application issues that may arise. Generate new or revise existing drawings and specifications for electric motors, components, tools, jigs, fixtures, and equipment layout. Calculates material requirements, compiles material lists, and maintains specification files. Interprets drawings and specifications using precision measuring instruments Process Engineering Change Requests in a timely and accurate manner Utilize GD&T principles to ensure accuracy in designs and facilitate clear communication with manufacturing teams. • Experience Associate's degree and proven experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment utilizing 2D and 3D CAD programs.

Proficiency in CAD software:

Autodesk Inventor, Creo, Pro/ENGINEER, SolidWorks.
