Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer for an automotive plastic injection molding operation. This position is responsible for day-to-day plant quality, customer quality issues, dimensional inspection, and IATF compliance. Key Responsibilities Supervise and provide technical direction to Quality Inspectors across production shifts. Support injection molding production and troubleshoot dimensional, appearance, flash, short shot, sink, warpage and other molding-related quality issues. Serve as the primary customer liaison for quality complaints, rejects and corrective actions. Lead 8D problem solving, root-cause analysis, containment, and corrective/preventive actions. Perform and/or coordinate CMM measurements, dimensional layouts and capability studies. Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T. Maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, PPAP and APQP documentation. Conduct
