AlumiPlate has provided pure electroplated aluminum since 1995. Today, our Minnesota facility produces a wide variety of products for aerospace, quantum computing, fusion reactors, and the semiconductor industries. Our aluminum plating process is not hazardous to workers or the environment, and the coating does not contain any toxic materials. Unlike alternative coatings, the entire life cycle of products with AlumiPlate aluminum is benign. Why AlumiPlate? It is an excellent time for employment at AlumiPlate. We are currently looking for an individual with a background in chemistry who is intellectually curious and can work well independently as well as part of a close-knit team. We are looking for an individual who has a combination of experience with product quality procedures, electroplating chemistry or running a chemical production process, and engineering project management. Applicants need to meet most of the following qualifications: A bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, electro-chemistry, or a chemistry minor. Minimum 3 years of either quality in a manufacturing field, chemistry, electroplating chemistry or running a chemical production/manufacturing process in a manufacturing field. Knowledge and experience developing and implementing new chemical processes and equipment. Experience handling customers and vendors. Detail oriented and organized.
Preferred Qualifications:
Epicor ERP (Kinetic) experience. SolidWorks or other 3D CAD experience. Broad knowledge of
ISO/NADCAP.
Knowledge of MIL-DTL-83488, NAS-4006, MIL-DTL-5541, MIL-A-8625 and other surface finishing specifications. Experience with product quality inspection methods. Experience acting as point of contact or internal manager for customers. General mechanical, electrical, and controls knowledge, intuition, and curiosity. Applicant Qualifications Primary Responsibilities May Include:
Manage chemical baths using industry and internal methods. Troubleshoot and resolve chemical and process challenges. Research, develop and maintain systems and processes to support AlumiPlate's and the client's long term project goals. Troubleshoot customer and product challenges and research and implement solutions. Work closely with customers, sales, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing. Manage internal and external project audits. Maintain industry standard and customer specification revisions and determine the impact on processing requirements. Assist with the creation and revision of existing project documents, schematics, and product specs. Perform detailed and recorded inspections of final products to ensure compliance with industry, customer, and company standards. Manage internal and external quality audits. Manage calibrations, certifications, and shelf-life controls. Prepare reports to address quality issues by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.

14 days to start, with hours accruing bi-weekly every payday. An additional 5 days will be added at 5 years, 10 years and 20 years.
