Hemet, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Civil engineering Project engineering CAD design (engineering design task) Bachelor's degree Attention to detail Organizational skills Civil Engineering Full Job Description APECO Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer / Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our team in Hemet, California. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being involved in a variety of projects and wants hands on experience with civil engineering design, land development, permitting, construction and project coordination. The Civil Engineer / EIT will work directly with our Professional Engineer and project team on commercial, residential and land development projects throughout Southern California. Responsibilities Prepare and assist with civil engineering plans, calculations and technical documents Prepare grading, drainage, utility, street and site improvement plans Perform engineering calculations and assist with drainage and stormwater design Prepare plans and exhibits using AutoCAD and Civil 3D Assist with tentative maps, parcel maps, lot mergers and other land development projects Review plans, specifications and agency comments Prepare plan check responses and make revisions based on agency comments Coordinate with cities, counties, utility companies, consultants, contractors and clients Assist with permit processing and project approvals Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed Assist with construction related questions and field coordination Maintain organized project files and track project deadlines Work directly with the Principal Engineer on projects from initial design through permitting and construction Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering field Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred AutoCAD experience required Civil 3D experience strongly preferred Knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities and land development principles preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to read and understand construction and engineering plans Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Valid California driver's license Experience Entry level candidates with strong AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills are encouraged to apply.
