Job Description

Pennoni is hiring! In particular, we are looking for an Associate Civil Engineer to join our team on a full-time, direct basis in the Clearwater or Tampa area. This person will have the opportunity to work on a variety of public & private site development projects while contributing to all aspects of our projects: conceptual planning, preliminary design, detailed development, construction documentation, permitting documentation, and engineering reports).
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare site plan development drawings; this involves taking land survey data to develop a site plan package that is compliant with municipal regulations. Design and detail of site layout, removals, grading, utilities, etc. Design and detail for stormwater management [SWM]: hydrologic & hydraulic [H&H] modeling, erosion control, sediment control [E&SC], relevant design calculations, etc. Preparation of permits applications and reports Assist with mentoring junior-level staff. Work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment under the supervision of a senior Professional Engineer.
Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or a related discipline). 3+ years of professional experience working in Engineering, preferably with Land and/or Site Design projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
FE / EIT.
Experience working with stormwater management, especially while utilizing Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) modeling tools; experience using HydroCAD is a plus! Minimum 3-5 years of experience in land development design using AutoCad Civil 3D and involving grading, stormwater, sanitary sewer, and water line design Proven ability to prepare a site plan package for submission to local jurisdiction(s) is a plus! Proficiency on basic office software applications, especially Microsoft Office 365. Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision while displaying a positive attitude. Excellent organizational skills, especially with a proven ability to work in an energetic and challenging work environment on a variety of projects; this person will be expected to demonstrate a self-motivated demeanor while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments. Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
