Job Description
About the Role We're seeking a motivated Structural Engineer with 0-5 years of experience to join a collaborative engineering team focused on the design of building structures. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to develop strong technical skills while gaining hands-on exposure to projects from initial design through construction. You'll work alongside experienced engineers on a variety of structural projects involving wood, concrete, steel, and masonry . The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving engineering problems, wants to expand their design capabilities, and is looking for a long-term opportunity to grow within a supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with structural analysis and design of building projects Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, details, specifications, and reports Develop structural models and perform design calculations Work with structural systems including wood, steel, concrete, and masonry Assist with construction documents and project coordination Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs as experience develops Participate in site visits and field observations Collaborate with architects, contractors, clients, and other engineering disciplines Support projects through multiple phases of design and construction Take on increasing responsibility as technical experience develops Qualifications 0-5 years of structural engineering experience Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering EIT/FE preferred or willingness to pursue Fundamental understanding of structural engineering and building design Familiarity with applicable building codes and standards Exposure to structural design software, CAD, Revit, or other BIM platforms is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Good written and verbal communication skills Organized, motivated, and eager to learn Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
