Role description:
The Environment Business Line of Arcadis is currently searching for a Technical Intern / Civil Engineering Co-op/Intern to join our team. The start term is flexible and may begin in a future semester based on candidate availability and business needs.Role accountabilities:
This is a great opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of civil design and environmental engineering projects within the consulting environment, with a focus on civil engineering projects. This position requires a broad educational background with an emphasis on science and engineering principles and fundamentals.What you will do:
- Successful intern can expect to get involved in civil engineering design associated with soil remediation, stormwater management, hydraulic and hydrologic evaluations, developing design reports, construction drawings, and specifications.
- May work on multiple, unique assignments simultaneously and candidates should possess strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Assist project teams supporting land development tasks associated with remediation system designs.
- Office work may include task coordination, data compilation and interpretation, quality assurance/quality control reviews, report writing, and construction drawing preparation.
- Assist with design calculations associated with bulk earthwork, stormwater management, hydraulics, and pipe burial.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental or related engineering discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, programming skills Why Arcadis?
