About the Role In this vital role, you will support the maintenance and operation of the building systems inside a client facility. The Building Engineer performs complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds. Role will serve as lead for R&M services of building, partners with site FM to prioritize assignments within team , provides recommendations for process improvement and equipment repair\replacement, inventory control, supply procurement, on-call 24/7 rotates within team, Must be able to work independently or with a team, work from heights, . What You'll Do Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client. Stay in sync with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety. Oversee and inspect the work performed by outside contractors. Predict and perform assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed to complete repair. Maintain an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum. Cultivate positive working relationships with our Client and Operations Maintenance team members. Perform other job-related duties as needed or assigned. What You'll Need HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Fire Alarm operation, critical emergency generators and UPS systems Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). A minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or trade school training. Effective communication, presentation, problem solving and analytical skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite ( Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.
