You'll also coordinate with the drafting and GIS teams. Additionally, you will plan and permit new cable routes. What you'll do Design and prepare outside plant work orders and associated drawings, including documentation and accurate record updates Provide estimates for work order expenditures and prepare placement, as well as joint use memos Coordinate with drafting and GIS personnel in remote offices to produce construction drawings for the network Plan, design, and obtain permits for new cable routes Design aerial and underground telecommunications plant routes Other duties as assigned What you'll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience At least two years of Telecom Outside Plant Engineering experience Proficient with Excel and Word Knowledge of Telecommunications industry standards Regulations for OSP facilities Aerial or underground construction methods and engineering requirements Infrastructure plans and surveys to avoid conflicts with underground obstacles to ensure proper installation in easements and public rights of way Government permit requirements Fiber optic counts, assignments, and splicing schematics in high-density environments AutoCAD/Microstation or Geographic Information Systems Physical abilities & exposures
