Rooted in the Latin word for love, AMO focuses on intentional design, from fabric selection to precise fit refinement. The brand uses denim from a leading Italian mill and partners with experienced makers in Los Angeles, emphasizing craftsmanship and quality. Washes are carefully tested to achieve a naturally broken-in feel, and each piece features thoughtful detailing and feminine ease. AMO creates denim meant to be worn, loved, and lived in, with products made in LA and worn everywhere.

Responsibilities:

? Research and identify relevant trends, bringing new ideas and inspiration that align with our customer and brand. ? Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and vendors, building strong working relationships through clear communication, organization, and problem-solving. ? Visit local wash vendors to communicate wash comments and feedback, and assist with wash-related drop-offs and pick-ups as needed. ? Maintain design integrity and ensure high-quality execution throughout the entire product development process, from concept through production. ? Participate in all aspects of product design and development, including sketching, fabric and trim sourcing, wash and lab dip development, and fittings. ? Attend and actively participate in all fit sessions, providing feedback and helping ensure styles meet design and fit expectations. ? Prepare and update tech packs in PLM with clear style and technical details to ensure accurate sample development and provide the Technical Designer with the information needed to execute each style. ? Update and maintain BOMs, sewing specifications, and wash details from initial development through final production. ? Send seasonal lab dip requests, communicate comments and revisions, and track approvals. ? Manage development deadlines and deliverables in alignment with the seasonal calendar. ? Support day-to-day design and development tasks, including filing and organizing, tagging, line preparation, and maintaining development materials.

Qualifications:

? Bachelor's or Associate degree in Fashion Design, Textiles, Fine Art, or a related field. ? Portfolio required. ? 3-5+ years of professional apparel design experience. ? Experience working with a PLM system. ? Previous experience designing denim and apparel, preferably for a denim-focused brand. ? Strong sketching and technical drawing skills in Adobe Illustrator. ? Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Google Workspace. ? Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through. ? Solid knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, washes, and garment development. ? Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and with vendors. ? Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
