Job Description The Assistant Civil Designer supports the planning, design, and development of civil engineering projects. This role works closely with engineers and project teams to prepare construction documents, perform design calculations, and assist with a variety of land development and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design of site development, land development, roadway, utility, drainage, and stormwater projects.
  • Prepare and revise construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Develop preliminary layouts, sketches, and design markups for ongoing projects.
  • Perform basic civil design calculations, including grading and earthwork quantities.
  • Analyze maps, surveys, reports, and other project data to support design activities.
  • Apply applicable codes, standards, and project requirements to design work.
  • Support project schedules, budgets, and deliverable deadlines.
Maintain project files, drawing revisions, and design documentation.   • Bachelors degree (non-engineering) OR Associates degree
  • 2+ years of experience as a detailer OR designer
  • Civil OR Joint Use design
  • Experience with PLS-CAD
  • Experience with AutoCAD OR Civil3D
  • Pole Design experience
