Structural Drafter

Job Description

About the RoleA structural engineering firm with offices in Idaho, New Jersey, and Montana is seeking a Structural Drafter to join its New Jersey team.

This is a hands-on production role working directly with structural engineers. The Structural Drafter will own drafting work from project kickoff through the final document set while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

What You Will DoProduce and review structural plans, details, elevations, and schedules in RevitAccurately implement redlines and markups from engineers and team leadersGather project information during kickoff meetings to support early-phase document setsCoordinate with engineers to ensure drawings meet design requirements and project objectivesRecognize and flag structural or constructability issues for engineer reviewParticipate in project meetings and contribute from a drafting perspectiveWhat We Are Looking For2+ years of professional structural drafting and construction document experienceAdvanced Revit proficiency, including complex structural modeling and Revit family creationExperience in a structural engineering office or closely related AEC environment strongly preferredSolid understanding of structural systems, construction types, materials, and fastenersAssociate's degree or certificate in Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field preferredAutoCAD familiarity preferredBluebeam Revu experience is a plusSignificant PlusExperience with walk-in cooler or cold storage structural projects is a strong differentiator for this position.
