The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed, accurate, and comprehensive Building Information Models (BIM) using advanced CAD and 3D modeling software. This role plays a vital part in streamlining project workflows, ensuring building code compliance, and supporting construction documentation processes. The BIM Modeler will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to develop precise digital representations of building projects, facilitating efficient design coordination and project execution. Duties Develop detailed 3D BIM models utilizing software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and Rhino 3D to accurately represent architectural, structural, and MEP systems. Create construction detail documentation that aligns with project specifications and building codes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design schematics and resolve potential conflicts within models. Perform building code analysis within BIM environments to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards. Generate construction drawings, schematics, and visualizations for client presentations and construction planning. Utilize tools like Bluebeam and SketchUp for markup review, annotation, and model validation. Assist in system design, interior design visualization, mechanical design details, and 2D animation projects as needed. Support the integration of various CAD software platforms to enhance interoperability across project phases. Conduct quality control checks on models to maintain accuracy and consistency throughout the project lifecycle. Contribute to the development of engineering CAD designs by applying drafting standards and best practices. Skills Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools such as Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper 3D, MicroStation, and SolidWorks. Extensive experience with CAD software including AutoCAD and 3ds Max for modeling and visualization purposes. Strong knowledge of construction detail documentation and building code compliance requirements. Skilled in 3D CAD modeling for architectural, structural, or mechanical systems. Familiarity with graphic design principles for creating compelling visual presentations. Experience in system design, interior design visualization, mechanical design detailing, and 2D animation. Ability to perform building code analysis accurately within BIM environments. Excellent drafting skills combined with a solid understanding of engineering CAD design standards. Effective communication skills to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams effectively. Knowledge of construction processes and practical construction experience is highly desirable.
