In this role, you will be instrumental in translating conceptual ideas into precise, comprehensive construction documents and 3D models. Your expertise will support project development from initial schematics through detailed construction documentation, ensuring compliance with building codes and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse architectural projects, utilizing cutting-edge CAD and BIM tools to bring visionary designs to life with clarity and accuracy. Responsibilities Develop architectural schematics, conceptual designs, and detailed construction drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks. Create accurate 3D models and visualizations utilizing SketchUp, 3ds Max, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, and other 3D modeling software to enhance project presentations. Prepare comprehensive construction detail documentation that adheres to building codes and industry standards. Conduct building code analysis to ensure design compliance across various jurisdictions and project types. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and clients to develop building information modeling (BIM) workflows that optimize project efficiency. Assist in drafting engineering CAD designs and graphic representations for presentations and technical reports. Support the review of schematics, technical specifications, and engineering drawings for accuracy and consistency throughout project phases. Experience Proven experience in architectural drafting or design roles with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, or MicroStation. Hands-on experience with 3D CAD modeling software including SketchUp, Rhino 3D (Rhinoceros), Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max for visualization purposes. Knowledge of building code compliance, construction detail documentation, and construction site experience is highly desirable. Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) tools and processes that facilitate integrated project delivery. Strong understanding of architectural drafting standards combined with excellent graphic design skills for compelling visual communication. Ability to interpret architectural schematics and technical drawings accurately while maintaining attention to detail in engineering CAD design tasks.
