Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineering Technician 2 for a contract opportunity in El Segundo, CA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
(REQUIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): o High School diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of related experience. o Work experience in assembly and integration military and/or aerospace weapon systems. o Work experience in fabrication and check-out of electrical cable and harness. o Work experience handling basic lab equipment (e.g., o-scope, multi-meter, power supply). o Active DoD SECRET clearance. o Willingness to travel up to 20%.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
o Provide check-out, integration, assembly, and test support for prototype weapon Systems incorporating electro-mechanical, power electronics, processors, sensors (passive and active), and rocket-powered effectors. o Execute instructions including drawings and electrical schematics, build planning, work orders, and test procedures. Support development of End-Item Data Package through collection and storage of data (e.g., build data, digital stills, handwritten records). Adhere to work safety practices for Electro-Static Discharge sensitive hardware, high power (high voltage) electronics, and clean-room (Class 10,000) processes. Adhere to protocols for handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and SECRET information. Participate in the System Demonstration for the DoD to be conducted at a Government Facility including on-site assembly, check-out, and live-fire testing.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(DESIRED
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
): o Work experience in assembly, integration and check-out of weapon systems including precision servo-driven mechanisms, missiles, or gun launched systems. o Work experience in handling energetic materials (1.1A safety hazard class materials). o Basic machining knowledge (operation of mill and lathe). o Active
TOP-SECRET
clearance.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma/GED is required. School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS
9/80 workweek. This position will serve on-site in El Segundo, CA.
