All products are designed and built at our facilities in beautiful Scotts Valley, CA. Position Summary The Electronics Technician I supports the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of legacy electronic systems and assemblies. This role focuses on sustaining production and service of mature products by diagnosing failures, performing repairs, and ensuring continued product functionality. Key Responsibilities Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of legacy electronic assemblies and systems Diagnose and repair failures in aging or discontinued products Replace defective components and verify repairs using standard test equipment Work with limited or legacy documentation (schematics, work instructions, test procedures) Support RMA, repair, and sustaining production activities Document test results, failure modes, and repair actions accurately Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve recurring issues Escalate complex or undocumented issues to senior technicians or engineers Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing protocols Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required (technical training preferred) 1-3 years of experience in electronics, repair, or manufacturing preferred Basic understanding of electronic components and troubleshooting techniques Ability to read schematics and follow technical instructions Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working with legacy or discontinued electronic systems Familiarity with PCBA troubleshooting and repair Experience with test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies) Soldering and rework experience Exposure to RMA or repair environments Our Total Rewards Philosophy We believe rewarding employees extends beyond base compensation.
