At Generators on Demand, the Repair / Service Generator Technician is a critical field operations role responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential, commercial, and municipal standby generator systems. This position requires a highly skilled, self-directed technician with at least 2+ years of air-cooled generator repair experience. Experience with liquid-cooled systems is strongly preferred. This role goes beyond repair work — it represents the frontline of customer trust, operational excellence, and technical leadership in the field.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair air-cooled generators (required) and liquid-cooled systems (preferred). Perform service and repair work. Conduct on-site visits across residential, commercial, and municipal properties. Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and performance verification. Complete generator start-ups as needed (supporting installation). Customer communication & field ownership. Work order & documentation management. Update work orders in real time. Complete and finalize invoices promptly and accurately. Provide clear notes, diagnostics, and repair summaries. Ensure all work is properly documented for internal tracking and warranty. Parts, inventory & warranty management.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years air-cooled generator repair experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Ability to work independently. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred:
Liquid-cooled generator experience. OEM certifications. Experience with field service software (e.g., FieldEdge, ServiceTitan, etc). Strong customer service background.
