POWER SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC
(Indefinite, May Become Permanent), WG-5378-10 your duties are below. Responsible for the accure interpretion of numerous manufacturer drawings, specificions, opering instructions, and test procedures, to troubleshoot, calibre, align and repair a variety of highly complex pieces of powered support equipment. This includes identifying, repairing or replacing numerous electronic (both digital and analog) components. It also includes the repair of composite merials and ste of the art gas compressor turbines and electronically controlled engines. Troubleshoots, repairs, adjusts and aligns down sized powered support equipment. Uses a variety of sophisticed testers, such as analyzers, digital meters, oscilloscopes and other measuring devices to determine repair requirements. Corrects unusual maintenance problems, by interpreting a variety of technical da such as tables, charts, formulas, color codes, wiring diagrams, and schemic symbols. Does circuit analyses, considers integred circuit relionships, and applies electronic principles in order to fault-isole and repair the various digital devices contained in highly complex powered support equipment. Performs inspections, preventive maintenance, servicing, repair, and adjustments on complex rotary diesel engines. Must independently determine work sequences, specificions, and special procedures to be used to fault-isole and repair unusual problems in various pieces of powered support equipment. Conducts classes to train maintenance personnel in operions, test procedures, and troubleshooting requirements of highly complex powered support equipment. Performs intermedie-level maintenance on powered support equipment and non-powered AGE. This includes working on cryogenic equipment, engine and generor changes, removing, repairing, and overhauling of accessories, and rebuilding of units. Engine rebuilding such as removal and replacement of crankshafts, pistons, and other integral parts. Replaces, checks and adjusts valves, bearings, cams, clutches, bushings, springs, armures, pushrods, exhaust manifolds, tubing, hose and defective wiring. Diagnoses gas turbine malfunctions, using visual and auditory senses, test equipment and applicable technical publicions; makes repairs, removes, disassembles and assembles components and sub-systems. Troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, modifies and operes aerospace ground equipment such as AC and DC power generors, various types of internal combustion engines, air compressors, blowers, hydraulic test stands, cabin leakage testers, portable diesel engine driven generors, emergency lighting units, de-icers, heers, load banks, hydrostic testers, cryogenic carts, decontaminion units, thermal bh, vacuum pumps, flow meters, lavory service trailers, air conditioners and various pieces of non-powered AGE. Performs required TCTOs and other modificions on powered support equipment. Performs corrosion control duties such as inspection, cleaning, stripping, sanding, priming and painting of AGE. Performs inspections, calibrion and repair on test and shop equipment. Performs maintenance da collection, and prepares other required forms. Maintains Technical Orders, Technical Order Files, commercial technical publicions and other directives pertinent to the section. Submits Technical Order Improvement Reports, Merial Deficiency Reports and suggestions when required. Ensures th all waste products are properly disposed of and the effective waste minimizion processes are used. Prepares for and participes in various types of readiness evaluion such as ORI, IG and UE inspections, mobility, and command support exercises. May be required to perform such additional duties as structural fire fighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operor, maintenance of facilities and equipment, or serve as a member of a team to cope with nural disasters or civil emergencies. Participes and assists in conducting the necessary safety program for the Aerospace Ground Equipment activity. Performs other duties as assigned.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
WG-5378-10: Must haveexperience in the following : Experience or training removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing parts, components, and accessories. Experience which provided working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to powered support equipment and systems; and skill to replace, fit, install, and make adjustments. Experience which provided working knowledge of the makeup and operion of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelionships.
