6-12 Month Contract M-F Onsite Job Overview We are seeking an Electrical Control Panel Technician to build and wire electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies according to customer requirements. The position requires hands-on point-to-point wiring experience, along with the ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bills of material. The technician will install electrical and electronic components such as PLCs, relays, lights, and switches; use a variety of hand tools; perform drilling, tapping, deburring, grinding, and sawing; and install completed assemblies into cases and cabinets. The role also includes red-lining documentation as needed and moving materials within the plant using hand pallet jacks. Point-to-point wiring experience is required for consideration. Key Responsibilities Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes, and electrical subassemblies. Perform point-to-point wiring of electrical and electronic components. Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and bills of material. Install components such as PLCs, relays, lights, switches, and other electronic/electrical devices. Drill and tap holes to mount control units and create openings for components, wiring, and instruments. Install finished assemblies and subassemblies into cases and cabinets. Use hand tools including wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and similar tools. Red-line documentation as needed to support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Perform mechanical tasks such as deburring, grinding, and sawing. Use hand pallet jacks to safely move materials throughout the plant. Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow established procedures. Work overtime as needed to support production requirements. Experience wiring and assembling electrical control panels, junction boxes, or similar electrical assemblies. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Experience using common electrical/mechanical hand tools. Ability to follow detailed instructions, work orders, and bills of material. Strong attention to detail and technical competence. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to work overtime as needed.
