General Shop Hand H&H Fabrication & Trailer Repair East Helena, MT Full-Time Pay:

Up to $20/hour DOE H&H Fabrication & Trailer Repair is looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person to join our shop full-time. This is an all-around shop position, and we mean that. We need someone who is willing to jump in wherever they're needed. Some days that may mean helping with shop projects and repairs. Other days it may mean unloading trailers, moving equipment, organizing parts, cleaning the shop, taking out garbage, or working in the yard. No job is beneath anyone here. We are a small team, and everyone helps with what needs to get done. There is also plenty of opportunity to learn and take on more responsibility as your skills develop. The right person can grow into more hands-on repair, service, installation, and other mechanical work over time. We can teach skills. We can't teach work ethic, attitude, and reliability. Responsibilities General shop work, cleanup, and organization Assist with shop projects, repairs, and installations as needed Take out garbage and help keep the shop and property clean Load and unload trailers, parts, materials, and inventory Receive and organize shipments Move trailers, trucks, and equipment around the property Operate forklifts and other equipment after training Keep tools, materials, and work areas organized Yard maintenance and general property upkeep Learn additional repair and mechanical skills as experience allows Help wherever needed to keep the shop running efficiently Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Basic mechanical skills and mechanical aptitude Valid driver's license Ability to lift 50+ pounds Dependable and punctual Willing to work and stay productive throughout the day Able to take direction and learn from others Able to work independently once trained Comfortable working with tools and equipment Willing to perform both mechanical work and basic shop duties Reliable transportation Experience That Is a Plus Experience in any of the following is helpful, but we don't expect someone to know everything: Trailer repair or maintenance Automotive or mechanical repair Forklift or equipment operation Electrical or 12V wiring Brakes, bearings, hubs, suspension, or similar mechanical work Farm, ranch, construction, equipment, or other hands-on work Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone who comes to work ready to work. You don't need to know everything on day one. We care about finding someone who is mechanically capable, pays attention, learns quickly, and takes pride in doing a job correctly. Just as importantly, we need someone who understands what this position actually is. This is an all-around shop position. You will be expected to help with whatever the shop needs that day, including the basic jobs that keep everything running. If you see something that needs done, we'd rather have you take care of it than walk past it because "that's not my job." We're looking for someone who wants to become a solid, dependable part of our team and is willing to put in the work to get there. Schedule & Benefits Full-time position Monday through Friday Regular workday is 7:45 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. 30-minute lunch Pay up to $20/hour depending on experience Paid holidays after eligibility requirements are met Paid time off after eligibility requirements are met
