You'll make sure everything runs smoothly, fix any problems, and keep us connected without any interruptions. What you'll do Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot fiber optic internet, and telephone based on guidelines Install, setup and configure all equipment Identify and try to remedy sources of customer-perceived issues Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement Educate the customer regarding product and service usage Assist & coordinate fiber activities with Construction & Engineering departments Construct network infrastructure like bays, racks, and jumper ducts Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed Perform work in all weather conditions Other duties as assigned What you'll need To be 18 years of age or older Authorization to work in the United States for this company High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience Valid State driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record Three years experience with fiber optic cable technology Additional qualifications Formal fiber optic training strongly desired Physical abilities & exposures
Routinely :
work at heights, in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, work with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and life greater than 55 pounds
Occasionally :
