Automation & Control Systems Technician 9033 Shelbyville Pike, Bell Buckle, TN 37020 Full-time Full-time Automation & Control Systems Technician We're looking for a technically sharp, hands-on automation and controls technician to own the scenic automation side of our operation. This is a design-forward role — you'll be specifying systems, building them, maintaining them, and occasionally going out to operate them on show site. If you've spent time with motion control platforms, gotten your hands dirty with VFDs and PLCs, and can move between a CAD environment and a control cabinet without missing a beat, we want to talk. This role is based full-time at our main warehouse in Bell Buckle, TN. What You'll Do Design and develop automation and control systems for scenic and entertainment applications — primarily electrical, with some mechanical elements Work with entertainment chain hoists and motion control platforms in a design and integration capacity Program, configure, and troubleshoot VFDs, PLCs, and associated control hardware Operate motion control systems on show site during live productions (a few weeks per year) Use Autodesk Fusion for design and documentation work Identify problems, engineer solutions, and push the systems we have further than they were before What We're Looking For Experience as an automation operator with a recognized motion control platform — Niscon Raynok or similar is required Controls technician background — VFDs, PLCs, and control system architecture Familiarity with entertainment chain hoists and how they integrate into automated systems Proficiency in Autodesk Fusion for electrical and mechanical design work Someone who can think through a system from concept to commissioning Curious, self-directed, and comfortable working in a small shop environment where you own your area This Role Is a Great Fit If You're...
