Electrical Engineer REQ# L6660Location:
Santa Clara, CA Duties:
Coordinate the procurement and assembly of electronic and related components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve basic technical issues. Design or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of limited scope under direct supervision. Collaborate with business units to specify and select EtherCAT servo drives solutions for wafer processing applications. Design custom EtherCAT servo drive assemblies using EOM modules and Applied Materials IP. DesigN and support custom position sensor control electronic assemblies with EtherCAT interface for Applied Materials vacuum and atmospheric robotics controllers, including collaborating with strategic partners to embed Applied Materials IP into their products. Collaborate with business units to specify, implement, and integrate custom industrial digital and analog sensor controllers, and supporting the product's life cycle. Define and maintain product roadmaps for EtherCAT servo drives, position controllers, and I/O controllers used on Applied Materials equipment.Requirements:
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field. Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in each of the following: 1. Schematic capture using LTSpice, Solidworks, or IronCAD. 2. Embedded firmware development using ESP32 microcontroller firmware development. 3. Oscilloscopes, function generators, and similar electrical laboratory and diagnostic equipment. 4. Servo amplifier operating principles and implementation techniques. 5. Industrial analog and digital sensor control principles and techniquesSalary:
