Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY
Graben Nelson Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Designer to support projects at a major facility in the Pensacola, FL area. The role focuses on Motor Control Center (MCC) replacements , electrical distribution upgrades, and associated instrumentation and controls modifications. This position is well suited for a designer who is comfortable working in existing industrial facilities, performing detailed field investigations, developing demolition and installation drawings, and coordinating designs around existing equipment and plant operations. Direct experience with brownfield MCC replacement projects is strongly preferred.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of industrial electrical design experience, preferably in chemical, petrochemical, or heavy industrial manufacturing facilities.
- Strong experience with industrial power distribution and motor control systems.
- Experience with MCC replacement, modernization, or electrical equipment upgrade projects.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD; AutoCAD Electrical, Revit, Plant 3D, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret single-lines, elementary and wiring diagrams, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and vendor drawings.
- Working knowledge of industrial motors, starters, VFDs, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Understanding of NEC requirements applicable to industrial electrical installations.
- Ability to document existing installations accurately through field investigation.
- Ability to develop drawings from field information when existing documentation is incomplete or inaccurate.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, contractors, equipment vendors, and plant personnel.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per yearBenefits:
