Job Overview This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your skills in electrical systems, circuit design, and system development verification. You will collaborate on exciting projects, gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, and contribute to the creation of advanced electronic solutions. We design and build prototypes for commercial and research pulsed power applications. An example application would be 2 kA for 50 microsecond at 10 Hz. Our designs are used in medical products and industrial systems. Duties Assist in designing and analyzing electrical systems, including PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layouts and schematics using KiCAD Support the development and testing of electronics prototypes, including firmware programming in C using Microchip Studio for Atmel Microcontrollers Conduct root cause analysis on electrical issues, troubleshoot system faults, and document findings for continuous improvement Engage in manufacturing processes involving surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques, and circuit debugging to support product assembly Assist with electrical testing using oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to verify system performance and reliability Skills An interest in hands-on work Basic understanding of circuit schematics Due to customer requirements, the successful candidate must be a US citizen.
Pay:
