Job Description

The Personnel Consulting Group is seeking an experienced mid-level Electrical Engineer to support and execute full-scale engineering and power design projects. In this role, you will drive the electrical infrastructure design for critical industrial and commercial facilities within a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
Key Responsibilities Power & Distribution:
Design low to medium-voltage power distribution systems, including the development of single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, and panel schedules.
Equipment Specification:
Specify major electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), protective relays, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
Facility Systems:
Engineer facility grounding, lightning protection, and interior/exterior lighting systems, performing necessary load and illumination calculations.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with cross-functional engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Civil/Structural) and Project Managers to ensure National Electrical Code (NEC) and client compliance.
Qualifications Education & Licensure:
BS in Electrical Engineering + FE/EIT registration required (LAPELS registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or actively tracking toward it is highly preferred).
Industrial Experience:
4 to 10 years of hands-on electrical design experience, preferably with industrial facilities (petrochemical processing and storage facilities) and/or port facilities and marine terminals.
Commercial Bonus:
Prior experience designing electrical, power, and lighting systems for commercial or institutional buildings is a strong plus.
Software:
Fluent in standard electrical engineering analysis software (e.g., ETAP or SKM Power•Tools), AutoCAD, and MS Office.
