Job Description

Electrical Engineer, Journeyman DCS Corporation United States, Ohio, Dayton Sep 30, 2026 As a Journeyman Electrical Engineer, you'll join the crossfunctional team turning Phalanx Griffon (PG) from digital design into flightready hardware for Major Release 2 (FY 2527). You'll focus on power distribution, wiring harnesses, interfacecontrol documentation, and EMI/EMC compliance for the Nomad openarchitecture chassis-supporting lab builds, environmental tests, and aircraft installation.

Essential Job Functions:

Assist with the design, develop and deploy military R D airborne stores and equipment

Participate in laboratory, ground and flight testing to validate electrical hardware

Document and communicate proposed electrical hardware solutions with integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast paced highly technical environment

Use modeling tools for hardware products and systems (Creo Schematics, Creo Parametric)

Contribute to investments and research that fuel innovation and technological advancements

Explain technical solutions, practices and procedures to others within the organization

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. A High School Diploma plus 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, 5 of which must be in the DoD or a BA/BS plus 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 3 of which must be in the DoD. Active TS/SCI clearance. Familiarity with

MILSTD704/1275

power, MILSTD461 EMI/EMC, and aerospace wiring best practices (38999/26482, AS50881). Experience reading/modifying schematics and using ECAD tools (Altium, OrCAD, or similar). Comfortable with lab instrumentation and fault isolation techniques.

Desired Skills:

Experience in electrical subsystems for airborne platforms (manned and unmanned), ground stations, ISR pods

Experience in design and evaluation of radio voice and data systems, tactical line of sight and SATCOM

Experience in DoD information security devices (e.g data diodes, cryptographic equipment, and cross-domain solutions)

Experience in product lifecycle process to include identifying/mitigating risks, bench and SIL testing, and product deployment and maintenance

Previous Flight-line experience

Setting up hardware for testing (discrete and analog signals, RS-232, USB, Ethernet, Fiber)

• Experience with using electrical measurement tools for troubleshooting and fault isolation, such as: multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, signal analyzers, and signal generators
