Full Job Description Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to develop electrical designs and documentation for commercial, residential, and specialty building projects. This role will work closely with architects, contractors, and project teams to deliver accurate, code-compliant electrical systems from initial design through construction. Develop electrical system designs for commercial and residential building projects. Prepare electrical load calculations, panel schedules, power distribution layouts, lighting plans, and one-line diagrams. Create and coordinate electrical drawings using AutoCAD or Revit . Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements for accuracy and compliance. Coordinate with architects, project managers, contractors, and other disciplines. Perform site visits as needed and support projects through construction. Troubleshoot technical design issues and make appropriate design revisions. Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes and industry standards. Support power distribution, lighting, generator, solar, and other electrical system designs. Contribute to improving design standards, processes, and documentation. Support the integration of emerging technologies such as solar and home automation systems.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Experience designing electrical systems for commercial and residential building projects . Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit . Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, building electrical systems, and applicable codes. Experience with load calculations, panel schedules, power distribution, and electrical layouts. Ability to read and develop electrical drawings, schematics, and one-line diagrams. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders. Must be local to the Clearwater, FL area and able to work a hybrid schedule. Preferred /

Plus:

EIT or PE license. Experience with Revit MEP/BIM. Experience with generator systems, solar installations, or home automation. Experience supporting electrical projects from design through construction.

Compensation:

$100,000 - $110,000 per year
