This opportunity is well suited to an engineer who wants to remain heavily involved in hands-on electrical design while gradually taking on greater responsibility for project coordination, client interaction, and project management. The firm works across a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, multifamily residential, and growing healthcare projects, giving engineers exposure to multiple building types rather than limiting them to a single market. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced senior engineers and project managers while taking increasing ownership of day-to-day design and project responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Design electrical systems for commercial, institutional, multifamily residential, and healthcare-related buildings Design and develop power distribution and lighting systems Perform electrical calculations, equipment selection, and system sizing Develop single-line diagrams, panel schedules, electrical plans, and specifications Perform site surveys and field investigations Coordinate electrical designs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, and other project disciplines Apply applicable electrical, energy, and building codes Develop and coordinate construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD Participate in client meetings and project coordination Support projects through design and construction administration Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and assist with construction-phase issues Assist with managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables as experience allows Delegate work and provide technical guidance to junior engineers Develop toward increased project management and client-facing responsibility Qualifications 4-13 years of electrical building systems design experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Experience within an MEP consulting engineering environment strongly preferred Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, institutional, multifamily residential, healthcare, or similar building projects Strong understanding of power distribution and lighting design Knowledge of applicable electrical and building codes, including the NEC Revit experience strongly preferred Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Active Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams Previous experience with client interaction, project coordination, mentoring, schedules, or budgets is beneficial Ability to travel to project sites and conduct site surveys Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship Why Consider This Opportunity?
