Designs and create layout of the printed circuit boards that are components of most electronic equipment.
#Eng-IT-01 Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join our team in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will work closely with Design & Engineering teams, business customers, outside vendors, and project management staff to support project-specific requirements. Your role will involve creating CAD designs, detail drawings, and other supporting documentation for a variety of electrical systems and assemblies.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Engineering to develop innovative and production design packages for projects. Provide CAD design layouts and detail drawings to support Engineering for capital and expense projects. Participate in project design reviews, ensuring effective communication with all relevant parties. Manage multiple fast-paced projects using effective time management and task tracking software. Coordinate design planning with internal and external entities, reviewing design packages with vendors and shops. Research historical data, materials, processes, and systems to determine project requirements and formulate solutions. Ensure that drawings comply with applicable codes, legislation, and industry standards. Work with Engineers/Designers and Document Control Staff to ensure proper documentation and archival. Stay updated on industry practices, codes, company specifications, and relevant legislation. Gain proficiency in new software packages to support project documentation delivery. Keep abreast of new technologies, products, and methodologies to enhance quality and safety. Required Qualifications Five or more years of design experience as a Designer or degreed Engineer in a multi-discipline electrical design team setting. Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN, with a minimum of five years' experience. Solid engineering and electrical/mechanical design skills, including manufacturing practices and processes. Knowledge of materials, welding, finish processes, ASME standards, and engineering documentation skills. Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and within a team in a high-paced environment. Aptitude to quickly learn computer software packages. Additional Qualifications (Nice to Have) Five years of experience in a theme park design environment. Proficiency in electrical drafting and designing in a 2D and 3D environment. Knowledge in mechanical design. Reliability-centered electrical maintenance experience. Education Requirements Two or more years of college in electrical/mechanical engineering or engineering technology courses, preferably with an Associate's or higher-level degree, or equivalent work experience. Preferred Education/Experience Four or more years of college with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. GD&T professional training and/or certification. SolidWorks certification or equivalent professional training or on-the-job proficiency. AutoCAD 2018, Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD for Design & Drafting preferred. AutoCAD Electrical 2018, professional training preferred.
