About the Role You will perform basic electrical design for midstream oil and gas projects independently and under the direction of experienced electrical designers and engineers. Project assignments will include designing electrical, instrument and control drawings. Will report to Manager, Electrical Designer. What You'll Do Able to annotate and layout moderate electrical, instrument and control drawings using Kahuna pre-developed tools with direction from experienced designers and engineers. Ability to assist with and review drawings of other drafters and markup as necessary to represent a functional design under the direction of experienced designers and engineers. Ability to do complex 2D modeling using kahuna pre-developed tools with direction from experienced designers. Basic understanding of electrical theory. Able to take direction, learn standards and follow through with standard operating procedures. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the workflow from beginning to end of a project. Demonstrate ability to functionally communicate technical and administrative project/task details, including correspondence via emails and general documentation. Organize and prepare drawings for delivery maintaining security and confidentiality in a timely manner. Understand and be able to operate Navisworks Freedom, allowing for basic integration between engineering and design. Demonstrate professional behavior around clients and vendors. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring Must be a self-starter with initiative, hard worker who can work with guidance from experienced designers and as a member of a team. Must be detailed oriented, precise, organized in handling of drawings and able to prioritize and multitask as individual. Need to be able to take direction, learn standards and follow through with standard operating procedures. High School diploma or equivalent and community college drafting/CAD courses preferred. Broad computer skills and proficient in Microsoft office, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD®, Bluebeam Revu.
