Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Under minimal direction, the TD Designer meets with customers to assess electrical needs, define requirements, and outline expectations of the design and construction processes before estimating materials, labor and costs for installation, modification, and maintenance of electric infrastructure. Once optimal designs are developed, TD Designers coordinate permitting, material orders, real-estate acquisition, utility coordination, and engineering approvals from company, city, county, state, and consultant engineers.Education and Experience Requirements:
A high school education is required. A bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or related field, and/or two years of related experience is highly preferred. Related experience includes background in construction and maintenance of distribution assets and facilities, project management, or electrical construction.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

Training Program Overview:
- Upon hire, individual will be assigned a training mentor and enrolled in the Evergy Distribution Designer Training Program.
Testing Required:
Valid driver's license required. Prior to being considered for an interview, the applicant will be required to pass the EEI prequalification test.Working Conditions:
- 70% of work is performed in an office with 30% in the field.
