Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Autocad Operator to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise electrical and building system drawings using advanced CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. Your expertise will support electrical system design, construction projects, and building information modeling (BIM) efforts, ensuring all documentation adheres to industry standards and electrical codes. Duties Develop accurate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout designs utilizing AutoCAD and Revit software. Create detailed CAD documentation for electrical systems, including system design, schematics, and layout plans in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70 standards. Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate conceptual designs into precise 2D and 3D models using CAD and BIM tools such as NavisWorks, MicroStation, Creo, and Revit. Assist in electrical system design by drafting wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) schematics for various projects. Support construction activities by producing construction-ready drawings that meet electrical building codes and safety standards. Utilize Bluebeam for markup review, document management, and project collaboration to ensure seamless communication across teams. Maintain organized CAD files, update drawings as needed, and ensure all documentation aligns with project specifications and client requirements. Qualifications Proven experience with AutoCAD is essential; familiarity with Revit, MicroStation, NavisWorks, Creo or other CAD/BIM software is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles including electrical system design, wiring schematics, electrical building codes (such as NEC), and NFPA 70 compliance. Experience in electrical drafting for building systems, including layouts for lighting, power distribution, control systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Ability to interpret technical drawings such as schematics, layouts, and engineering documentation accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for report writing and project documentation management. Knowledge of construction processes related to electrical wiring installation and system integration. Familiarity with 3D modeling software for creating detailed visualizations of electrical systems within BIM environments. Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering teams on complex projects involving system design and layout development.
