Job Description

NDT Field Engineer Description:
Antech Systems is seeking a skilled and reliable NDT Field Engineer to join our fast-growing and forward-thinking team. As an NDT Field Engineer, you will be the face of our new technology in the field. You will travel client sites, operate our specialized proprietary equipment, and deliver game-changing data to our partners. Because this technology is unique to us, you will receive intensive, hands-on training to become an expert in a method no one else can offer. This position requires travel. Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen living in the Chesapeake, VA area, with the ability to acquire a Security Clearance and a U.S. Passport.
Responsibilities:
Installation & Setup:
Set up, calibrate, and operate our proprietary NDT equipment across various client sites (e.g., aerospace, oil & gas, infrastructure, manufacturing).
Client Support & Training:
Walk customers through basic equipment operation, explain troubleshooting steps, and address client inquiries.
Analyze & Report:
Interpret inspection data and generate clear, accurate reports for clients using our advanced software interface.
Collaborate & Improve:
Work closely with our internal engineering and R&D teams to provide real-world feedback, helping us continuously refine and improve our hardware and software.
Safety First:
Maintain an uncompromising commitment to safety, adhering to both our strict safety standards and those of our clients.
Required Skills:
Technical Proficiency:
Ability to read schematics, use multimeters and diagnostic tools, and understand complex hardware/software.
Problem-Solving:
Quick critical thinking and troubleshooting skills to resolve unforeseen issues on-site.
Customer Service:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle client complaints professionally and represent the company favorably.
Time Management:
Capability to manage a daily travel route, adhere to tight service schedules, and meet turnaround times.
Physical & Travel Requirements:
A valid driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, or work in varying weather conditions.
Education & Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering (or a closely related engineering discipline).
Preferred:
Prior experience or exposure to NDT technologies, quality assurance, or materials testing.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Travel:
Frequent travel to various field locations, job sites, and client facilities (up to 50% travel required).
Environment:
Ability to work in diverse outdoor and industrial environments.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders/scaffolding, and stand for extended periods.
Valid Driver's License:
Required to operate vehicles.
Salary Range :
