Job Description

Electrical Test Engineering ManagerFontana, CA (Onsite) Up to $130,000 (negoitalbe) base salary + 10% bonus Direct Hire OverviewA global manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineering Manager to lead electrical testing operations supporting the production of PDUs, switchgear, and enclosure-based power distribution systems for data center infrastructure.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused heavily on electrical testing execution, troubleshooting, and team management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will come from a power equipment, switchgear, or substation testing background and have experience leading technical teams in high-power electrical manufacturing environments. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of 8-10 test engineers and techniciansOversee all electrical testing activities for enclosure-based power systemsManage testing schedules and coordinate with Engineering and Production teamsSupport final product testing and front-end panel testing activitiesProvide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and root cause analysisReview and approve test procedures, reports, schematics, and documentationEnsure compliance with electrical safety standards and testing protocolsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to improve testing efficiency and qualitySupport hands-on functional and power testing when neededTesting Scope IncludesMedium-voltage switchgear and breakersProtective relays and relay panelsPower distribution systems within enclosuresCommunication systems and HMIsPanelboards and automatic transfer switchesHVAC and auxiliary electrical systemsQualifications5+ years of experience in electrical or power equipment testingStrong background in switchgear, relays, breakers, substations, or enclosure systemsExperience leading or managing test engineering or technician teamsHands-on experience with AC/DC functional and power testingAbility to troubleshoot complex electrical systemsKnowledge of
NEC, IEEE
