Mead & Hunt is seeking a highly motivated Senior Technical Leader & Client Manager to help lead the growth of our water, wastewater, stormwater, and utility infrastructure services in Southwest Florida. This role combines client relationship management, business development, project leadership, and technical oversight to drive market growth and deliver exceptional client service. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to municipal clients, identify and capture new project opportunities, lead project delivery as Project Manager and Engineer of Record, and mentor the next generation of engineering professionals. Responsibilities include:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with municipal, utility, and private-sector clients to enhance client satisfaction and identify new opportunities. Manage and deliver engineering projects from planning through design and construction support while meeting scope, schedule, and budget objectives. Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) and provide technical oversight and quality assurance for project deliverables. Lead business development efforts, including client visits, networking, strategic pursuit planning, and proposal development. Mentor and develop junior staff, promoting technical excellence and client-focused service. Serve as Client Manager for key clients, ensuring consistent communication and responsiveness to client needs. Travel will be required. The successful candidate must have all of the following: A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil, environmental or related engineering from an ABET accredited college or university At least twelve (12) years of relevant experience Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following: Established network of municipal and utility contacts in Southwest Florida Successfully pursuing and winning engineering contracts History of managing large or complex municipal infrastructure projects. Serving as Engineer of Record for water, wastewater, and/or stormwater projects Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships Strong business development, leadership, and communication skills Active participation in professional organizations such as FSAWWA, APWA, ASCE, or FRWA If you're ready to lead impactful infrastructure projects, build lasting client relationships, and help shape the future of water resources across Florida, we'd love to hear from you.
