Job Description Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead Electrical Design Engineers and BIM/VDC teams supporting complex Design-Build and Mission Critical projects nationwide. This role combines technical electrical design leadership, constructability review, team management, and BIM/VDC oversight to deliver high-quality, code-compliant, installation-ready designs. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop Electrical Design Engineers and Virtual Design professionals. Manage staffing, workload planning, performance, and career development. Oversee multiple projects during preconstruction and design phases. Provide technical leadership for electrical system design and constructability. Review electrical calculations including load, voltage drop, short circuit, and lighting analyses. Ensure compliance with NEC, IBC, IECC, life safety codes, and project requirements. Direct BIM coordination efforts with architects, engineers, and MEP trade partners. Guide development of coordination models, installation drawings, and design documentation. Support value engineering, cost-saving initiatives, and project risk mitigation. Collaborate with project managers, field leadership, clients, and consultants throughout project lifecycles. Review scopes, specifications, contracts, and design deliverables to ensure quality and performance goals are met. The Successful Applicant Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. 10+ years of electrical design, construction, or BIM/VDC experience. Previous leadership experience within an electrical contracting environment. Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable building and life safety codes. Experience supporting Design-Build, Design-Assist, or Mission Critical projects. Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Microsoft Office. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Journeyman Electrician license and MEP coordination experience are pluses.
