Description:

Scott Equipment Co is looking to add a Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Arlington, MN! Scott Equipment believes in a strong and healthy company culture and is looking to add team members who believe in the same. Our motto is "

" and we strive to live that out in all that we do. We design and build custom equipment, giving team members variety in the day-to-day work. Individuals that are successful in this role are self-motivated, creative, coachable, have strong time management skills, and a desire to help others. This role works closely with our Engineering Managers and production team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Obtains job sheet from sales quotation and prepares preliminary drawings based on quote specifications, verifying price quotation against mechanical design. Consults with the salesperson to verify specifications on job sheets. The drawing is submitted to the customer for approval or modification. Upon approval, the job is scheduled for production and a parts list is prepared and submitted to Purchasing Agent. Conducts project meetings. Kickoff meeting with the salesman to ensure clarity on the project and customer needs. Meetings with the customer to go through the project expectations and design elements throughout the duration of the project based on the size and scope. Conducts quality audits of projects in production by communicating with production staff on the manufacturing process; answers questions of production staff; resolves production challenges with customers as necessary; to ensure that the finished product meets specifications and customer's expectations.

Prepares documentation for equipment including:

parts list, prints, maintenance manual for each component to ensure that the customer has complete and accurate maintenance plans for the equipment. Responds to customer equipment challenges by reviewing the customer file, determining the nature of the challenge and developing a solution to ensure that the equipment operates properly and the customer is satisfied. Research & develops new equipment designs & improvements to existing products, as directed, to expand and improve the product line. Prepares drawings according to the equipment requirements. Submits drawings for evaluation. If approved, submits to production for manufacturing. Prepares preliminary sales drawings by receiving quotation and submitting prints with quotation to the customer to assist in closing the sale. Performs other responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

Education and/or

Experience:

Degree or certificate from college or technical school; with one-year related mechanical design experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience at a minimum. Demonstrated ability to use computer assisted engineering (CAE) systems and computer assisted design systems in the design of various equipment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products. Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
